Earlier this year the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation made changes to the existing Electrician Licensing Penalties. These revisions were made after the February 20th meeting this year. This revision includes an established penalty matrix that applies to licensed electricians.
Class A violations will consist of a fine that ranges from $500-$2,000. This can include advertising violations (ex: not including contractor name and license number in advertising). Class D violations will consist of a $5,000 fine and/or revocation of license (ex: false information on application or cheating on an exam).
